Applied Tourism and Research Centre

Applied Tourism Administration and Research Center was founded at Boğaziçi University in 1994 with the objective of supporting and generating multi-disciplinary research and applied projects in the field of tourism.

The objectives of the ATARC centre are:

  • To conduct national and international comparative research
  • To provide tourism sector professionals with education programs
  • To organize and coordinate conferences, seminars, meetings and workshops on hospitality and tourism topic
  • To provide national and international consultancy services for the sector
 
The main purpose of all these activities is to increase the quality of education and research by providing interactions and information flow among scholars, students and between scholars and students while improving within and interuniversity interactions.  World Tourism Organization has started to carry out education programs within the scope of B.U. Applied Tourism and Research Center since 2003.
